Join us for the 17th Annual Empty Bowls Houston to help fight hunger!

Empty Bowls is a grassroots effort by artists and craftspeople in cities and towns across the country to feed the hungry in their communities. Empty Bowls Houston is implemented locally by Houston-area ceramists and artists working in various media, the Houston Center for Contemporary Craft and the Houston Food Bank.

For a minimum $25 donation, attendees have the pleasure of selecting a bowl from thousands of one-of-a-kind, hand-crafted bowls donated by Houston area ceramists and craft artists, then receive a simple lunch of to-go soup prepared by the Houston Food Bank’s 535 Catering.

The event will be held in HCCC’s indoor gallery spaces, as well as outdoors in the Craft Garden. Outside, there will be live music, as well as pottery and woodturning demonstrations!

For more information, visit Empty Bowls Houston.

Make and donate bowls to help provide food for better lives! Bowls can be dropped off May 5 – 19 at HCCC, during  public hours (Tuesday – Saturday, 10 AM – 5 PM), or at the Ceramic Store (check website for business hours).

Don’t miss Archway Gallery’s exhibition, which benefits Empty Bowls Houston. On view May 6 – 28, with an opening reception May 6, 5 – 8 PM.
