Join HCCC’s Tarina Frank to learn the basics of melt-and-pour soap making. Watch a live Zoom demonstration, and find inspiration from a variety of samples before you create your own recipe. Using a materials kit that can be picked up before the workshop, select a color, fragrance, and dried botanicals to add to a soap base. Experiment with the endless possibilities of layering, colors, textures, and scents, and discover the benefits of the botanical additives, as you craft delightful bars of soap to use at home or give as gifts.

No experience necessary. Participants will be provided with a materials kit, including molds, three color choices, and three different essential oils, to create approximately two lbs. of soap.  The kit will be available for pick up at HCCC the week before the workshop or can be mailed for an additional cost. Please note that some materials, such as glass jars and a candy thermometer, are not provided (see list of materials not included in kit below).

Pre-registration is required. Registration includes instructor, materials, and administration fees. The class is for adults only (age 18 and over) and requires a minimum of 12 participants to hold.
