Please join HCCC for Studio Sessions, featuring current residents Hillerbrand + Magsamen, the inaugural residents of the Interdisciplinary Craft + Photography Residency, offered in collaboration with Houston Center for Photography. For the Houston-based duo, photography forms an important part of a creative process that encompasses multiple disciplines, including sculpture, costume design, textile production, printmaking, and set building. Their work often features themselves and their children, as they tackle a wide variety of both humorous and poignant topics.

Tune into our Facebook Live page promptly at 6:00 PM to learn more about Hillerbrand + Magsamen’s practice and influences and to watch a special demonstration in their studio space. The event will also feature an audience Q&A session, so be sure to chime in with your questions via the chat function, or send them in advance to mheg@crafthouston.org by 12:00 pm on May 20th.

Studio Sessions is an ongoing virtual series of live, informal studio visits featuring an HCCC resident artist joined in conversation by our curatorial fellow, María-Elisa Heg.
