From the moment we opened our doors more than 20 years ago, the Houston Center for Contemporary Craft (HCCC) has brought its mission to promote and advance education on the process, product, and history of craft to the city of Houston and beyond. The innovative mix of exhibitions, artist residencies, and educational programming that has become the signature of the Center has also become a model to the arts community, while expanding the boundaries of what is conventionally considered craft.
It is with great excitement and a sense of opportunity that HCCC looks forward to the next 20 years of innovation and exploration, and, today, we ask you to consider supporting the Center’s mission with a contribution to our 2022 Annual Fund Drive. Your donation makes all of our programming possible, from the current, acclaimed exhibition CraftTexas 2022 and dynamic group of resident artists to our recent Hands-on Houston Family Festival, attended by nearly 400 eager kids and adults, and the upcoming, spectacular glass showcase, Tg: Transitions in Kiln-Glass.
Without our community of so many generous individuals who have contributed to the Center’s growth and success, the remarkable work of HCCC would never have been accomplished. Whether that help has come through attending a workshop, supporting an artist’s work with a purchase from their studio, contributing to a fundraiser, volunteering in our Craft Garden, assisting with programming, or attending an event, HCCC has prospered from the numerous ways that people like you have shown up for the Center over the years.
Your donation today makes our myriad of programs possible. During the most challenging days of the pandemic and in its aftermath, HCCC has leveraged its dedicated innovation to nimbly explore new ways to deliver its mission to the community. That learning has since transformed the planning and execution of our visitor experience for the future. Your gift this year promises that our work will continue, while remaining free and accessible for all.
Thank you in advance for your thoughtful consideration.
With Kind Regards,
Judy Nyquist Perry Allen Price
