HCCC is a dynamic hub for contemporary craft, a place where artists can push the boundaries of their creativity, and a destination for the community to engage with the art of our time. Visitors can see thought-provoking exhibitions, tour the studios of working artists, participate in hands-on programming, or explore the Craft Garden. Admission is always free.
Houston Center for Contemporary Craft is located in the Houston Museum District, two blocks south of Highway 59, near Rosedale Street.
Due to construction, our parking lot is partially blocked off, with limited spaces available. Visitors may also park at Lawndale Art Center at 4912 Main St. and enter HCCC through our Main St. entrance.
HCCC is supported by hundreds of individual donors and members and funded in part by The Brown Foundation; Houston Endowment, Inc.; the City of Houston through the Houston Arts Alliance; Texas Commission on the Arts; the National Endowment for the Arts; the Kinder Foundation; the Morgan Foundation; Windgate Charitable Foundation; and the Wortham Foundation.
Whether you’re an individual, foundation, or corporation, we invite you to learn more about our impressive network of contributors and become involved in an active, artistic community.
Join us as a member and become an important part of our mission to advance craft and making. Membership helps ensure HCCC’s programs and admission are offered free to the public; plus, there are added benefits to you.
