Houston Center for Contemporary Craft has had an exciting year! Our new annual report highlights our accomplishments, recent exhibitions, and programs, all of which were made possible by your friendship and support.
In the last few months, the HCCC community enthusiastically welcomed Leila Cartier as our new executive director. We celebrated the installation of new building signage along Main Street, and we’re improving our online presence at crafthouston.org to be more accessible, while reflecting our rigorous scholarship and creative programming in the field of craft. Along with a renewed focus on strategic planning, these developments are paving the way for significant changes in the months ahead.
In order to implement these changes and build upon our success, we have set a goal to raise $115,000 for this year’s annual fund drive. Annual fund donations provide free admission, as well as critical support for artist residencies, curatorial research, and instructional public events. We want everyone to have the opportunity to experience our unique exhibitions and programs—including Hands-on Houston, one of the longest running, free art programs in the city.
