Martini Madness! HCCC’s 10th Anniversary

October 1, 2010

Nothing says Mad Men like a martini, so the Emmy-winning TV show provided the perfect inspiration for Houston Center for Contemporary Craft’s third annual Martini Madness benefit, co-chaired by Jennifer LeGrand and Ashley Wehrly, with honorary chairmen Jay Jones and Terry Wayne Jones. This sexy ’60s-themed cocktail bash kicked off HCCC’s 10th anniversary celebration and a year of exhibitions honoring the next decade of craft. While sipping bottomless martinis from one-of-a-kind glassware decorated by artists from around the country, guests enjoyed live jazz by the Andre Hayward Trio and a big-board auction emceed by Wade Wilson. Mad men and women: HCCC’s executive director Julie Farr, Alton LaDay and Jonathon Glus, Melanie Lawson and John Guess Jr., Minnette Boesel, and Gracie Cavnar.
