Society Diaries: Martini Madness!

February 5, 2014

A night in Havana with hot Latin Jazz, bottomless martinis and a big-board auction made the fundraiser, Martini Madness! a rousing success.

Guests chose artisan martini glasses to take home, there was an incredible array of the handmade swag gifts.

Latin Jazz Trio Forte treated the guests to the sounds of 1950′s Havana. The atmosphere was filled with hot pinks and deep oranges, palm trees and silhouettes of birds. The fare was provided by Cordua Catering, spinach and feta empanadas; lobster corndogs; truffled grilled cheese sanwiches, paella and plantain chips all served at the Houston Center for Contemporary Craft, Jan. 30, 2014. Chairs Betsy and Chuck Powell worked with Honorary Chairs Marie Louise and David Kinder, as well as  several local sponsors to make the night a success.

Over $100,000 was raised to benefit the Houston Center for Contemporary Craft.
