Houston Center for Contemporary Craft offers a variety of craft-making workshops and events for your business or private group.
HCCC’s private corporate workshops are a fun way to engage employees, team build, entertain clients, or say “Thank you!” The HCCC team will design each event to your specific needs.
Workshops can range from introductory level topics such as ceramic hand-building and bookbinding, or our staff can work with you to create a custom workshop for your corporate event.
Events are limited to a minimum of 10 people. They can take place on-site at HCCC, at your location, or virtually for nationwide and worldwide company events. Materials and instruction fees are included in the price. For virtual workshops, we can ship kits to your participants, who will receive live virtual instruction or a pre-recorded instructional video. Your team will leave with a unique object and build a sense of community through these engaging and creative experiences.
Tours of Houston Center for Contemporary Craft may also be added to your event. Tour groups will view current exhibitions, interact with resident artists at work in their studios, and visit HCCC’s Craft Garden to learn about plant materials used in craft making. Tours are approximately one hour long but can be customized to suit group needs.
For on-site events, groups may use the HCCC workshop room as a meeting space and will be allowed to provide attendees with food and beverages (with restrictions). Workshops are not available on Sundays. Events held in the evening must end by 10 PM.
All workshops are subject to a 10% administrative fee, as well as additional charges for off-site events, rental fees, group size, and availability of HCCC staff.
