Join HCCC Curator Kathryn Hall and Curatorial Fellow María-Elisa Heg on Facebook Live to learn about the vibrant communities of armor makers in the Lone Star State in this behind-the-scenes tour of Suited Up: Contemporary Armor Making in Texas. Explore armor of all kinds, from combat-ready gear to fantastical, 3D-printed cosplay suits inspired by Marvel’s “Black Panther” and video games like “Blizzard Entertainment’s Overwatch.”  Following the exhibition tour, the audience is invited to participate in a live Q & A with Kathryn and María-Elisa.

Craft Chats is a series of short lunchtime conversations with our staff and special guests. From wherever you are, we invite you to tune into our Facebook Live page to explore themes from our current exhibitions as well as other topics. This brief deep-dive will leave you feeling inspired and ready to continue your day!
