In celebration of the opening of Later, Longer, Fewer: The Work of Jennifer Ling Datchuk, join HCCC and exhibiting artist Jennifer Ling Datchuk to explore her new exhibition and contribute to the artist’s Community Bead Project.

Later, Longer, Fewer addresses women’s empowerment amidst many societal, cultural, and political systems that continue to hold people back. The Community Bead Project encourages individuals to lift one another up through positive words of affirmation and respect for one another, themselves, and their rights. As part of the exhibition, Datchuk created a 22-foot-long curtain made of synthetic hair, adorned with the porcelain beads from her Community Bead Project. Learn more about the project from Datchuk, who will be in the gallery, and contribute your words of affirmation by writing them on a porcelain bead.  The completed beads will be used in the artist’s future installations.

Note: This event is subject to change or cancellation in response to current COVID-19 conditions.
