Join HCCC Curator Kathryn Hall, Curatorial Fellow MarÍa-Elisa Heg, and armor maker Jessi Arntz, of JAFantasyArt, for an up-close look at the maker’s armor, as featured in Suited Up: Contemporary Armor Making in Texas.

Based in San Antonio, Jessi is a cosplayer and armorer who creates wearable custom leather armor, props, and accessories. Learn about the inspiration behind Jessi’s fantastical armor, as well as her leatherworking techniques and studio practice. Following the exhibition tour, the audience is invited to participate in a live Q & A.

Craft Chats is a series of short lunchtime conversations with our staff and special guests. From wherever you are, we invite you to tune into our Facebook Live page to explore themes from our current exhibitions as well as other topics. This brief deep dive will leave you feeling inspired and ready to continue your day!
