Celebrate the Juneteenth holiday by exploring our summer exhibition, Sonya Clark: We Are Each Other, which examines issues of history, racial justice, cultural legacies, and reconciliation through fiber works and community-centered installations. Stop by our galleries to take part in Clark’s participatory projects, such as learning how to weave on a loom to contribute to the collaborative artwork, Reconstruction Exercise.

Make sure to stop by our neighboring art center, the Houston Museum of African American Culture, where you can see the second half of Sonya Clark’s exhibition and participate in a variety of Juneteenth Celebration events, from 11 AM – 6 PM!
