Level up your hosting spread with a unique cheese plate that combines ceramics and printmaking!
Local ceramic artist Tiffany Angel will guide participants through the process of making a serving plate using a linocut printing process, a form of relief printmaking in which a design is carved into a sheet of linoleum. Learn how to transfer your design onto linoleum, carve it into the block, and roll out an even clay slab using everyday tools. Participants will finish their plate by adding color using underglazes.
This workshop is great for artists of all levels, including beginners. The workshop takes place in person and inside the HCCC building. Space is limited to 15 participants, so early registration is encouraged.
Please note: all plates will remain at HCCC to dry, be kiln fired, and then coated with a clear glaze to make the plates food safe. Finished ceramics will be ready for pickup approximately two weeks after the workshop. Participants will receive an email notification from HCCC staff once their pieces are available.
