Artist Resources

HCCC’s Resource Directory is an ongoing list of organizations and professionals who support craft artists. The directory highlights local and national guilds, craft galleries and museums, retail spaces, and technical assistance providers, as well as workshop and class spaces, studios, and
makerspaces throughout Houston and the U.S. HCCC aims to connect artists with the resources they need to advance their careers.

Group Tours & Workshops

HCCC’s Group Tours and Workshops can be reserved together or separately and designed to support the youngest creatives, adult novices, and masters of craft. We host school groups, private sessions, and strive to accommodate a range of learning differences and accessibility needs. Read below to learn more and contact us to schedule your visit with our expert education team.

The Craft Garden started in 2003 as a collaboration among artists, community members and gardeners. Today, the plants in the garden are divided into four sections: baskets, textiles, dyes and papers. In the Craft Garden, you will discover the craft process–from planting to the production of materials. Complementing the Craft Garden is HCCC’s rooftop beehive, which is full of bees that support the many flowering plants featured in the Craft Garden (and other area gardens), as they gather nectar and pollen for the production of honey.
