The Museum Experience is Houston’s newest cultural block party! Join the Houston Museum District on the last Saturday of January, April, July and September. The Museum Experience features four walk-able “zones” to help visitors navigate through the area and learn more about all 20 museums in a more personal way. Each zone will showcase a handful of museums at a time, complete with special programming, pedicabs in select zones, and food trucks.

For Zone 2, please join HCCC for the Annual Gathering of the Guilds, featuring all-day craft demonstrations by a variety of local artist guilds. Bring the whole family to see demonstrations, current exhibitions, artist studios and more. This year, featured guilds include:

  • ClayHouston
  • Contemporary Handweavers of Houston
  • Gulf Coast Woodturners
  • Houston Area Blacksmiths Association
  • Houston Bead Society
  • Houston Calligraphy Guild
  • Houston Metal Arts Guild
  • Polymer Clay Guild
  • Texas Association of Original Doll Artists
  • Texas Basket Weavers Association
  • TX/RX Labs
  • Woodworkers Club of Houston

Click here to see the full Zone 2 schedule of events.

PARKING: The HCCC parking lot will be blocked off for artist demonstrations. However, some parking will be available in the north end of the First Presbyterian church lot (just south of HCCC at 5300 Main Street) until 5:00 PM.
