Mariquita Masterson has created jewelry for over 30 years.  The idea for her unique and timeless designs came to her while working with a glass blower to design a table setting for a museum gala here in Houston. When she saw the chunks of crystal ready to be fired in the furnace, she realized this material would be absolutely beautiful in jewelry settings.  Her designs come directly from her love of crystal, as well as a lovely selection of colors, set in sterling silver and in vermeil. Mariquita uses both recycled glass and glass from companies that produce a variety of colors and textures. Occasionally, she also gets lucky, and an antique vase shows up in pieces, allowing her to make something incredibly stunning from the wreckage.
