Please join HCCC for a closing reception for “Ceramics in the Environment” in the Craft Garden.
For the third year in a row, Houston Center for Contemporary Craft has collaborated with the MFAH Glassell School of Art on “Ceramics in the Environment,” an installation of ceramic art in the Craft Garden. The artwork was created by students in a class led by Jeff Forster, Glassell’s ceramics area coordinator, and HCCC Curator Kathryn Hall. The exhibition represents the culmination of semester-long projects, created exclusively for the Craft Garden by Yvonne Gerych, Melissa Symmonds, and Pandora Snethkamp. This year’s pieces include larger-than-life-sized flora and fauna, inspired by the plants growing in the garden. The exhibition closes on March 11, 2018.
