Please join HCCC for HANDS-ON HOUSTON on Saturday, July 6th. This month, members of the Houston Metal Arts Guild will demonstrate how to stamp a personalized message on a metal pendant. Participants will learn to use the tools and techniques of metal stamping and take home their very own pendant to wear as a bracelet or necklace!

Houston Metal Arts Guild (HMAG) exists to provide education and promote public awareness and interest in traditional and contemporary jewelry and metal arts. To learn more about HMAG, please visit their website at www.hmag.org.

Before or after the activity, make sure to check out the new summer exhibition, The Tool at Hand, in which artists were challenged to create an artwork using only one tool!

HANDS-ON HOUSTON is a free craft-activity open house on the first Saturday of every month. Each month, a teaching artist demonstrates a craft related to the current exhibitions. We provide the materials, and you provide the creativity! Families and children of all ages are welcome, and materials are provided. This program supports HCCC’s mission to advance education about the process, product and history of craft.
