This month, join HCCC and the Houston Polymer Clay Guild to design your own polymer-clay gemstone ring. Get inspired by the current exhibition, Sawed, Soldered, Constructed: The Work of the Houston Metal Arts Guild, and the various wearable works made from metal. Experiment with a range of chunky ring designs, and select from a variety of shiny, pearly, and faceted gemstones to embellish your ring. Leave with a unique ring that has texture, bling, and personality!

Note: This activity will take place inside the building and is on a first-come, first-served basis, while supplies last. The event is subject to change or cancellation in response to current COVID-19 conditions.

HANDS-ON HOUSTON is a free drop-in event held the first Saturday of every month. Each month, a teaching artist demonstrates a craft related to the current exhibitions. Families and children of all ages are welcome to come any time between 11 AM and 3 PM and participate in a 15 – 20-minute activity. Materials are provided. This program supports HCCC’s mission to advance education about the process, product, and history of craft. Learn more here.
