Please join HCCC for Craft Community Day, a new spring event featuring the “Annual Gathering of the Guilds” and other local community groups. Visitors of all ages are invited to watch a variety of craft demonstrations—including blacksmithing, book arts, printing, woodturning, basket weaving, and ceramics—and participate in all that HCCC has to offer.

  • See craft demonstrations by Houston-area artist guilds and community groups; some groups will offer activities for visitors
  • See the current exhibitions on view: United by Hand: Work and Service by Drew Cameron, Alicia Dietz, and Ehren Tool; New Tradition: Melissa Cody; and Pocket Museum
  • Participate in United by Hand by cutting fabric for artist Drew Cameron’s paper demonstration
  • Participate in artist Rebecca Braziel’s Creeping Vine project
  • Visit the resident artists’ studios
  • Shop for one-of-a-kind gifts and home décor in the Asher Gallery
  • Enjoy delicious food and refreshments from El Topo food truck

PARKING: The HCCC parking lot will be blocked off for demonstrations, but street parking is available nearby.
