Learn the art of knotting in this fun macrame workshop with former HCCC resident artists Tarina Frank and Rene Henry. Macrame is a technique that uses several knots to form the basic shape and function of a textile. Each knot is created with your hands, and there are no other tools required, other than a mounting ring to keep the item in place while you work.
In this beginner-level workshop, experiment with the square knot, and learn how to create endless design combinations. Use cotton cording to knot your plant hanger, and learn how to grow and tend to indoor herbs from plant enthusiast Tarina Frank, who will share helpful tips to keep your herbs going all summer. Leave with a finished hanging planter, a potted plant, and the know-how to design and create more macrame pieces on your own.
